Is APAP/BUTABITAL/CAFF similar to vicodin?

No. This medication is generic Fioricet usually given for headache relief and sometimes other pain conditions. APAP is an abbreviation for acetaminophen (or Tylenol), butalbital is a very mild barbiturate to relax and mildly sedate and the caffeine to help relax muscles and increase blood flow. Vicodin does have acetaminophen as well but vicodin also has an opioid hydrocodone. Fioricet doesnt have an opioid. Here is a link so you can read more:
