besides therapy and meds, does there exist support groups out there for anxiety, it seems like a silly question, but this has me realizing there are a lot of people like me out there.
I know that some pshycologist offices have support groups for anxiety. That is where I went for my chronic pain support group. There may be other places that offer anxiety support groups as well but I don't have any info on that. Maybe you can call around to pshcologist in your area and see what they offer.
Most phsychatrists offices have support groups and somtimes the local church does too. try to google "Anxiety Support Groups for your zip" I recently visited a phsychatrist office and they had all kinds of flyers up for support groups.. even if you not a patient at a specific psychiatry office u can still call them or go in and ask if they know of support groups. I am glad ur my friend and i wish u well
Not that it would help yo, but I know my hospital has a weekly meeting for people with anxiety disorders. I would be willing to bet that others do as well. I would suggest calling you local MHMR office and even asking your own doctor if he knows of any. Hope this helps.
As others have said check with your therapist and maybe your local hospital and maybe they would have something for you. take care my friend I have been there and have anxiety disorders so hang in there, reach out here too there are many people here who can also support you as well. Take care, marjorie zych
