... is there 3 little pills inside the capsule. My daughter is 6 and can't swallow the capsule so we were hoping this brand had the powder or crystals inside
Does anyone know if the Watson brand of the Trospium Chloride ER 60mg has powder in the capsules or?

limegreen... PLEASE POWDER OR TABS.first let your doctor know of this problem do not break this pill the ER... IS extended release!!! you should not open the pill period or she could get to much all at once do you think you could slide it down in a teaspoonful of pudding,or applesause..Maybe check with the doctor and see if a smaller dose is avalible where you can give her a couple..you never break a extended release pill..VERY IMPORTAINT..this could cause severed problems this pill is ment to be taken so that it well last the amout of time it disolves slowly over the extended period of time you break it you end up getting it all at once very dangerous..call your doctor if you can't get it down with yogert or something give here a tablespoon of whatever you can thing she can't chew break or anything it must GO DO ALL AT ONE TIME..chuck1957 medically retired pharmacy technician Cpht Oregon... do not OPEN THE CAPSULE.

okay chuck again i finally found it,,there is a 20mg extended release talk to the doctor if you can't get it down and see if 3 of the 20 mg ER would be okay they from the look are pretty tiny tablets,,, check to see if the pharmacy well take back the 60mg if you can't get her to slide it down with apple sause pudding, yogart, anything and the doctor is the only one that can change it to 20 mg and see if s/he want it more than once daily or if she can take 3 of the tiny ones at one time sorry... again don't OPEN THE 60MG CAPSULES..Chuck1957
We have tried everything to get my daughter to take this medication. The first generic that was ordered had the capsules but with the three pills in it. I contacted the Dr and he said that Watson makes the capsules with powder in it. He was the one that advised us to open the capsules and put the powder in pudding. I do realize that you should not crush the 3 tablets because they are extended release but the Dr said that the Watson generic was the only kind that made the 60mg ER in capsules with powder. I am a pharmacy Tech too and we don't want to open the bottle of the Watson brand because there are only 30 pills in the bottle and we don't have anyone else on this medication.
Thank you for the information about the 20mg though. I will call the Dr. and see if we could try that.
Watson 951-493-5700 or +1 862 261-7000 Here we go call watson give them the ndc number and they well be able to tell you if it is powder or pills in the capsule since the doctor said it is okay... hope this well help... have a good day my friend..Chuck1957
Judging from my 50 yrs of experience as a nurse, doctors don't know poop about a medicine if it can be crushed opened etc. I've been told to crush oxycontin, by a dr, and cut another extended release in half. Talk to your pharmacist, they are the ones who know.
