I am looking into taking vit b12 with
L-5 mthf And vit b2 and b6.
I take B12 in a sublingual liquid form, 5000mcg. Or should I say I have just started back on it after a very painful bout with diverticulitis. Wikipedia states: "Intrinsic factor (IF), also known as gastric intrinsic factor (GIF), is a glycoprotein produced by the parietal cells of the stomach. It is necessary for the absorption of vitamin B12 (cobalamin) later on in the small intestine. In humans, the gastric intrinsic factor protein is encoded by the GIF gene.:989."
If your digestive system is not able to produce intrinsic factor, it causes you to have a B12 deficiency. So I am supplementing to help to avoid this painful condition from coming back. I also have started on a good multivitamin/mineral formula.
Wellbutrin has helped to keep me from having anxiety diarrhea. (sorry for being graphic). Irritable bowel problems are no fun. My GI doctor says wellbutrin is a beneficial medication to help balance my digestive system. "G"
