The Viibryd stopped working. So doc weaned me off Viibryd and onto zoloft.. I'm now off the Viibryd and started the 150mg of zoloft how long before zoloft works fully and is it a good medicine
Hello sissy1971. The full therapeutic action of Zoloft is as in most of all the anti depressants will be between 4 and 5 weeks. It is today, still one of the most popular and deemed effective of the medications in the treatment for anxiety and depression. Regards pledge
I just stated viibyrd about a month ago... I feel better then I have in a long time. I've been on antidepressant for13 yrs along with other meds of that class of treating anxiety, insomnia, stress, bipolar. Etc. I've used zoloft it did'nt work for me, but every body it will differ. So you want know if it is working for you until you have been on it 4-6 weeks. Good luck. Bamboos,
Hi! Same thing happened to me with Viibryd. Worked great for a year stopped for a month cause of the side effects, went back on, got all the side effects but it no longer helped my depression. I went on zoloft which had worked for me when I was first diagnosed at 16 years old (I'm 34 now). Therapeutic dose takes about 4-5 weeks with almost any antidepressant. I went up to 200mg. At 200mg I wasn't depressed but I wasn't happy either. For the first time in my life I felt like I couldn't "feel" things. I went down to 150mg and I was better. However Zoloft just isn't doing it for me. Been on it for a year now and added Wellbutrin to it a few months ago but still nothing. I see the dr next month and we'll talk about a change again. Good luck to you and hope zoloft works for you. It did great for me for several years!

I'm switching from Zoloft to Viibryd & having more anxiety. Is this a normal part of switching SSRI?
