There is so much conflicting info on natural thyroid hormones that I'd like to find a real person who has switched from Synthroid to something like Armour. On some sites it says that Armour is not a quality product at all and cannot be taken if you don't have a thyroid. Other sites say that you should get off of Synthroid because the doctor's like their lab results over listening to how their patient's feel. It's sooo confusing. -Debra
Yes, I have made the switch to Armour Thyroid. It was the best decision I ever made. I am no longer freezing cold, I have lost some weight, less brain fog plus many other symptom improvements.I have Graves Disease so I have had RAI therapy. I took Synthroid for 10 years but my symptoms just kept getting worse. I finally talked a doctor into giving me Armour. I don't have enough T3 so Armour gives me more of the hormones I need rather than just the T4 that Synthroid provides so I feel much better.
You should try changing, if it doesn't help, you can always switch back.
