I have been taking Aubra for 6 months, the past two months I started spotting before my placebos (which could be because the pharmacy gave me another generic for Aubra last month) so I went to Planned Parenthood and they switched me to Chateal, which has just a little more of a hormone dose. I start Chateal after my placebo week and I'm hoping this stops the spotting and regulates my periods.
I am currently just finishing my first month on aubra and I was on chateal before this. I had major mood swings and you will get a regular period but it was somewhat heavy for a good portion of it for me. I seem to be less moody and feeling alot better on aubra, and my period was way lighter.
I was on Chateal before and it worked okay for me. I didn't necessarily experience acne or spotting, but I will say that I was very moody when taking Chateal, and as soon as I stopped taking it I felt so much better emotionally. Also, I think Chateal was making me fat (Lol, no scientific evidence as of yet, but I'm pretty sure). I just switched to Aubra and everything is great, BESIDES the fact that I've had my period for 13 days. Apparently prolonged bleeding is "normal", but I'm thinking about switching back to Chateal because I never experienced this. Everyone's bodies react differently to medications though, so just wait and see what works best for you.
