My mom has neuropathy and doctors tell her they have nothing they can give her for pain. She does take oxy 20mg, tramadol 50 mg, and also Ambien. Does anyone know of anything that could make her pain go away so my mom could walk again?
What kind of doctor is she seeing, I BELIEVE IT IS A Neurologist that she needs to see there are lots of things done these days that just might help. The best is to start making calls to some hospital clinic and s=ask what doctor would be able to try and help your mom Even if it means going into the hospital and have the troops of doctors go through and see what is going on best of luck. But it would be well worth the try for your mom. Chuck1957
She can try Gaberpentin, it's usually used for controlling sciatic nerve pain. And she can ask the doctor to increase the Oxycontin and also add oxycodone IR (instant release ). That would give her less pain and be able to enjoy life more.
Tell the doctor that your Mom does not have quality of life and has more pain than the Oxy. 20mg. Controls. .
