Several times during the week my feet will cramp to the point toes cross each other. This is very painful to say the least.
Hi Buttercup, long time no see girl! I'm so sorry you are having these unbelievably painful feet/toe cramps! I get them as well. But my toes will either point up or curl under, and then won't straighten out until the cramp is gone. Do your cramps do that? Do the nerves or muscles in your feet feels as if they are jumping? If so, try taking magnesium, 5000mgs each night with dinner. It may cause some umm, intestinal distress, but it may be worth it to lessen these cramps. Also ask your doc for a good muscle relaxer, too!
Like Zanaflex or Flexeril, or Soma.
Do you have Fibromyalgia, I can't recall? Or are you a runner? Runners typically get these cramps from the wrong shoes, too.
Best to you,
Toe clenching comes from a disruption of the sodium calcium channels. You actually need to increase both calcium and Vit D. There is magnesium in these as well. Check with your doctor regarding high doses of magnesium. There are many medications that cannot be taken with this. Best to be safe.
