I have tried a few times to get off this drugwithout success. Only once was i able to not take this drug and it was during a stint on a diet.
Good morning! Yes, I have successfully gotten off of the drug Nexium, after having been on it for 6+ years. I did have to reduce the acidic foods in my diet and eat several antacids per day. Alcohol, carbonated, and caffeinated beverages all aggravated my GERD/acid reflux, so I had to cut back on those, too. Eventually my body did finally adjust. I don't know your circumstances, and everyone's body is different. I hope you find peace and relief.
I was once able to get off while i was on a burnstein diet. Which i dont think is healthy. I was told my body is alway in starvation mode. As soon as i went off i got the acid reflux back. I dont indorse any diet but if a person can change their eating habits maybe. I also have a small hietal hernia. Now again i suffer with bad acid reflux. Tried a few time to get off this drug was not successful. When a company makes a drug like this they need something to help the people get off safely too. This should be law.
