I have suffered with migraines for over 30 years, the last 5 or so years they have been daily and affected my quality of life. I have been on prophylactic med there is, had nerve blocks, cervical rhizotomies and botox. Desperate for a solution.
I've had migraines for about 20 yrs now. Tried everything under the sun. Nycenta ER is the ONLY drug that keeps them down to where I can function. I've been hospitalized many times and kept 3-4 days at a time which is unheard of anymore. My veins are horrible. Since taking this drug, I no longer need IV's for the dehydration from vomiting. Hope that helps. The only downfall that I notice is the constipation and it does give me some slight breathing changes (phlegm) but more so at night. Sure does beat the migraines though.
Yes, I have. I tried everything under the sun and tried the Nucynta ER for nerve pain but to my surprise, the headaches went down and kept going down. I still have to watch somethings I eat but over all, wow!! I was on Demerol for years but I still got them. With me, it was 2-4 times a week. I tried the beta blockers, every antidepressant know to man, epilepsy drugs , mouth guards, massage and even acupuncture. I tried so many and just nothing seemed to work and some of the drugs left me so sick or gave me other side effects that I was pretty miserable. I hope this one works for you. It really did make a huge difference in my life. Good luck to you.
I am on 100 mg of the ER x2 a day. I have been taking this for two years now. I am taking this for lower back pain and diabetic neuropathy. My migraines were only about 6-8 times a year with an emergency room visit about every two years for some Demerol. My migraines are now gone, I still get headaches, but nothing like before. I do think that the Nucynta has played a role in the change. Good luck, just remember that we all are affected differently.
