VERO77; took me alot of different places to find a real answer this is the problem I have with so called natural or health food products Here is a very good answer and just for the record very few medical people can even find answers to some of these natural products because the true texxting has not been done.or inported from 3rd world countrys where the truth is not know.Glad you posted this and can't wait for a better way of finding answers so anyone can get to them I found this in the usp pharmacipa my private library. Now I have to figure out how to word it so it makes sence Vero77 but to make it easy DON'T TAKE THIS WITH ANY ssri Lexapro or any others I well explaine further in a second message as soon as I re read it. chuck1957 totally confused and don't want to confuse anyone else its the world I live in after Chemotherapy but at least im cancer free lots of errors in my typing due to my sight that is supposed to come back some day. but very glad to help you. Chuck1957 if I can't find this again the answr is 100% NO MY FRIEND.
Vero77 Here is the reason there is a major drug Interaction between the two please stop the GARCINIA CAMBOGIA and only take the Lexapro that your doctor has prescribed. Here is what I have found.((( not a good idea to mix Lexapro and garcinia as both affect serotonin levels in the brain which can cause unusual symptoms, or even lead to a very serious condition called serotonin syndrome which can be fatal.
I'd be sure to talk to the doctor who prescribed your Lexapro. Mixing herbals with prescription medications can have very serious consequences and your doctor should be aware of EVERYTHING you take, including any vitamin or mineral supplements.SO ANYONE READING THIS GARCINIA CAMBOGIA comes from citric fruits rines encluding Grapefruit which as you know for other reason's should not be taken with any or rather many prescriptions due to the way it holds the medication in the liver and other organs that could cause harm to organs or overdose of some medications. but It does say not to be taken with any SSRI'S OR SNRI'S hope this helps and you don't have to go through what I did to find an answer Chuck1957.
Vero77 On your next question I would say to stay off of the Garcinia cambogia FOR the time you are on the Lexapro or any SSRI and wait for 4 to 6 weeks until you restart it to make sure all of the Lexapro is out of your system. What you could do is ask your doctor if there is any other diet pill or something you can take in place of the Garcinia cambogia while you are on the Lexapro. Have a good weekend and a Merry Christmas. Chuck1957
Vero;(((( Don't you worry I haven't even taken the Garcinia yet it's sitting on my counter right now and I'm thinking about returning it I bought it on sale at Walmart thinking about just taping it back up and returning it and not even bothering with it... I stick with my green tea and probiotics to lose weight. thank you so much!!)))) THIS WOULD BE THE BEST THING TO DO BETTER TO BE SAFE THAN SORRY and these other two there is no problems what so ever. thanks Chuck1957
