Hi all. I'm 26 y.o female and suffer from severe anxiety - upon reflection I think it has been life long. I get bad flares, usually once a year. My latest flare has been very chronic and I'm experiencing some shakiness, nausea, feel wobbly, and generally very disconnected from everyone/everything. I started on Fluoxetine 20mg yesterday (should have done so ten years ago), and have also been given Oxazepam for when I feel panicky to resolve tension and shakiness. I know it can take a long time to see results, but I'm just wondering if anyone has had relief with Fluoxetine from these physical symptoms? I've read they can also get worse before getting better... just looking for a light at the end of the tunnel. Any help would be greatly appreciated. X
Yeah! They can get worse, but hundreds of thousands, if not millions, have benefited from Prozac. If you're symptoms worsen, and you either can't bear them, or the worst ending lasts longer than the first week of Prozac, don't quit the Prozac. Give your doc a call and get guidance. We sometimes forget we can call doctors. Best of luck. Ask again if you have any other questions. We're here for you!
