I get migraines and am nervous about switching because of this and the other side effects. My doctor wants me to switch.
I started on Contrave and had a very bad experience. It led to very bad side effects but I apparently don't do well with the active ingredient wellbutrine while some people do. I've been on Qsymia for some time and have lost 70lbs. In honesty it saved my life and when asked would highly recommend it to anyone.
Princess; I have not taken either but I have seen lots of questions and answers and most seem to prefer Contrave, And your doctor must want you to switch for a reason I do know the 2 medications that are in Contrave. And both seem to be well tolerated. You really should not worry so much about the side effects it list if you look very close headache is very low on the scale of a possiblility of having a migraine. I check to because I have suffered from Migraines for many years. One thing you might want to do is go to your profile page or for questions and there is a search bar up at the top type in the name of the drug and several things well come up. And join the support group it is free and you can see what all the people in the group are saying about it and how it is working you can learn a lot this way. good luck and have a great weekend. I was on Qsymia 3 years ago & had great results with it. I'm on week 3 of Contrave & so far do not notice it being effective yet. The Qsymia was quicker to work. I don't notice any side effects from the Contrave but it doesn't seem to be working either. So far I prefer Qsymia but will try Contrave a little longer
