Has anyone been prescribed amitriptyline for sensitive oesophagus - if so is it successful?

Geoffre1 My mom was on this for that reason and yes it made a lot of difference What I can see is it looks like they use it for the gagging reflex or irritated esophagus this has been used for years.As far as the information on it they just say it is unknown which in alot of cases its a side effect response that they are taking advantage of the use of this medication which is very common. Hope it works for you to give it a trial period sometimes it takes a few weeks for some people due to needing a blood level. Hope this helps you and have a good day free discount card
