I am a 74 year old male diagnosed with polymyalgia and put on 20mg/day prednisone. The pains decreased almost immediately but within a day or two, I got nose drips (not postnasal - nothing at the back of the throat) that happens without warning. It happens while walking through the aisles in a supermarket or eating a meal where I would drip right into my food. My searches on the internet did not show nose drip as a side effect of prednisone.
I have been taking prednisone for 5 years now plus the one I use for asthma but never had a dripping nose except in winter and below zero temperatures. I do know, people who have sinus and they drip and they do not use prednisone. You should go to an ENT to check because it has nothing to do with the use of cortisone.
