I have been on 75 mg of welbutrin for 16 days. I am wondering if my dose is too low for me to feel an effect from it. I am eager to feel the "good" effects of welbutrin but I am becoming discouraged as the days pass. The only effect I've had is dry mouth and insomnia. I have read about many people who are extremely happy with welbutrin but they are all on high doses. I would love to hear from someone's expirence with 75 mg a day of the drug.
Has anyone had positive results with 75mg of welbutrin ? If so, how long does it take to work?

Thank you for your reply. I have an appointment in 2 weeks so maybe my doc will increase the dose then. From what I've been reading, it looks like many people felt results around week 4 or 5. Maybe I will too and won't need to increase the dose. I'd like to stay in the lowest dose possible. I've been on paxil 30mg for 10yrs and will most likely have to be on it for the rest of my life due to social panic attacks:( now that I am adding another med (welbutrin), I just feel bad that I have I rely on yet another in my life. The paxil takes away those awful panic attacks but it leaves me with no energy & I want to sleep a lot. Lately I have been feeling like I have no interest in doig anything, no motivation, and never feel excited about anything. So when my doc prescribed me welbutrin, I did a little research and I began to feel hope that it might make me feel better and change my life for the better. I guess I just have to be patient.
That's a short time to be on Welbutrin . The doctor starts you out on lower doses to make sure it is tolerated by you. It gives your body time to adjust to the change. He will increase in small increments. Give it 4-6 weeks to notice a difference. Good luck!
ive been taking welbutrin for about a month now and havent noticed any difference. i also take latuda for bipolar but since ive been so sad and bummy lately my doctor wanted to try an antidepressant. but so far i havent had the urge to get up and be my normal spunky self. i miss my old life. hope it works out for you.
