I just got home from the pain clinic where my pain doctor told me that if I wouldn't try the nerve stimulator that what he had given me for pain meds is all he is going to do. It really feels like he is trying to bully me into it. I cried all the way home because I have so much pain and seems like the doctors don't care. Has anyone had to deal with this and if so, what did you do?
Have the pain meds your Dr. has been giving you help with your pain now? What pain medication & dose are you on now?
If you feel that the simulator will definitely not work.
Then your choice is either find Another pain Dr. or do more research on the simulator & see if you cannot get more information.
It sounds like the Dr. does not feel comfortable giving you a higher dosage of meds. It could be because of the DEA crackdown on the pain Dr's. so they have to watch how much they give out.
