Did it help your psoriatic arthritis?
I started Otezla 6 weeks ago and the only side-effects I have had are minor headaches and soft stools - nothing major. The headaches are gone now and the GI symptoms are not bothersome at all.
My severe plaque psoriasis has 95% cleared after 35 years of topicals, tanning beds, and misery during the winter months when there was no sun exposure. This drug is amazing!
I have taking Otezla for a year now and I am not symptomiess. In the beginning I had stomach inconveniences, diarrhea, weight loss - good for me, and sweating about 1,5 hour from taking a pill. On the other hand, skin was better in week two and in the hole time, there is no morning stiffness.
I have taken Otezla for about a year. I had to reduce the dose over the first month as my side effects were severe and also in consideration of my stage 4 chronic renal failure. I cannot emphasize enough that my side effects did NOT improve the longer I was on the medication (15 mg. q day). Nausea, worsening depression/fatigue, new back aches (requiring heating pad treatment) and daily serious explosive diarrhea. I lost 5 pounds in the first months of treatment. My skin condition improved dramatically and remained almost clear after 3-4 months of therapy. Was taken off last week by dermatologist r/t diarrhea and generally feeling pretty ill.
Unsure if the site will post this response because of my side effects. The drug DID work, but I had a fair amount of unpleasant and debilitating side effects that I could not continue tolerating.
