been dealing with migraines for35 years been on all migraine med,did not work, taken dhe injections ,no help I NEED SOME ADVICE
Yes I do take Opana for severe migraines and I have tried all the "MAGIC" drugs that can prevent them and they didn't work for me. Opana if taken every now and then can give you a headache across your forehead but it beats the migraine itself. Sometimes if you have a migraine for days at a time you can get a rebound headache from the medication so I would advise being careful and once you start feeling better than take something less potent. There are times where I have to go to the ER and get an injection of 2mg Dilaudid IM and that seems to help and lasts about 4-6 hours also but the pill version doesn't seem to help too much. You can ask your doctor to give you an outpatient order for that injection so you don't have to go to the ER and wait for hours and hours for them to tell you that they would rather try something different and laws are starting to change that they won't give narcotics to chronic pain issues which includes migraines. Good Luck with your migraines.
