I'm pretty much homebound. My doctor recently tried cyclosporin which I had high hopes, but had terrible reaction due to erythromelalgia. ... another alternative we discussed was Botox... Has anyone tried Botox, if so, how did it work for you? Thanks
I haven't heard of Botox being used to treat IC, but it is used to treat many things. A friend of mine even had Botox in her vagina to help with being able to have sex. The doctor told her that she didn't know if it would work, but it worked beautifully. She was put out for the procedure. So if they think that it might work, I would opt for it.
Have you tried alkaline water? I drink this, eat loads of cucumbers, and take highly concentrated cranberry pills.
I was just diagnosed with this. I'm scared because a lot of the things I read on the Internet are discouraging and people don't seem to find a lot of relief. The brain has a lot of power with this, I think.
I'm sure you've tried all of this, but try cutting out caffeinated beverages, sugar, soda, juices, alcohol, and spicy acidic foods.
I'm going through withdraws right now so all I want to do is lay down :(
But I am up every 5 seconds to pee. I can't take this! Have you tried acupuncture or physical therapy? I heard there was some vibration therapy you can do and the FDA just approved some pill. Also, I hear there is a temporary surgery.
I'm honestly terrified with this and don't know if I can live with it :(
