I almost fainted when the pharmacy told me the price for the branded name was over $1300
Hi gypsygirl. No, unfortunately they do not at this time. I just looked at Mallinkrodts web site & they don't have it listed on their patient assistance program either. I don't know what else you have tried for pain, but have you tried oxycontin or MS contin which are also long acting opiate medications for pain? I am assuming you have been through most of them if your doc is prescribing Exalgo to you. Let us know, & maybe we can come up with some ideas. Best of wishes to you...
"If you cannot pay for EXALGO, we may be able to help. Please call our Patient Assistance Program.

Try them, as they say, they may be able to help, which by the way , I hope they do.
Best of luck,
Exalgo was incuded as a tier 2 drug in the Medicare formulary for 2013. It went all the way down to $35 for me. Hopefully you have an insurance pan that has included it. Also, when I first checked the price in November I got a $590 quote, maybe you should check another pharmacy.
They don't :( I've been on it for four years. My doctor had to go through a prior auth with my insurance which took about a month, but now it's in the third tier of copays for meds through my insurance so I pay $40 a month. It's the only ER med that has worked for me although I'm on the fentanyl patch. If you have insurance, ask your doc to help you. Best!
