I have a drug test (urine) on Tuesday. This is Friday morning and I have taken my last Xanas (1mg) and Norco 10/350 for back pain. Will these show on my test Tuesday morning? Is it worthwhile to eat little, and drink a lot of water, fruit juice, tea and the like? Thanks.
Anyone know of a product that really works in trying to make sure of a clean urine test?

By the way: I have taken these medications for literally years for 3 herniated lower back discs. I've had 7 cervical and lumbar surgeries so far due to auto accident ( and not my fault!) Does anyone know of a clinic near Atlanta GA (especially the midtown area) which won't jerk you around? The last I went to took my $$ ($275 including urine test I never got) and after having me wait 5 hours said they had to verify from original source all of my mri's xrays and pharmacy records: the pharmacy would not fax them my records until their corporate layer okayed it and she was out.
Hi Sara, To answer you first question, the xanax has a short half life so you should be ok on that, but the Norco may still show in your urine test. If you had a script for it you are ok if you are honest about it. If it's for a job where you are driving or something where you cannot take such type of meds, you may be in trouble, & with the second part of your question, you shouldn't be taking these meds & doing any thing dangerous in a job type situation. Eating & drinking more will not dilute the drugs out of your system.
I do not live in your area, but there is a web site you can google, unfortunately I don't have it on hand to give you, try pain management in Atlanta area & see what comes up. Welcome to the site, & I hope this helps you tremendousy...
There is really nothing that will clean your urine reliably other than time and metabolism. Norco will be undetectable in urine in 3-7 days but the Xanax can stay detectable a long time. I took one Xanax once and had it show on a urine test 6 weeks later! I had a script so I didnt get penalized for a dirty screen though. If you are taking the test for a job, usually if you show proof that it is an Rx'd med you will be ok, unless like Mary said, it is a DOT job or a driving job. Drinking water will dilute the urine and if it is too dilute (they test for specific gravity to make sure the urine is not watered down) they may not accept it and drinking too much can deplete your electrolytes and make you very sick.
