I just started lyrica myself for leg pain i get really bad at night as a result from having back surgery(fusion).I keep having to get the dose raised because so far its not doing so well,(but everyones different) but the pharmacist did say that alot of drs.do prefer this medicine over the older ones out their. It's fairly new. Anyways in the state of Indiana its considered a narcotic. I couldn't get any from my regular dr. because I'm going to a pain clinic. So they had to prescribe it for me. The pharmacist and the pain clinic dr. both feel its silly that this state has it in the narcotic family. Don't know whats in it for the state to consider that, but thats the way it is here. Just thought I'd let ya know.
