I saw a documentary on this controversial treatment for opioid withdrawal.
It's illegal in the US and must be done through treatment centers involving total immersion therapy in a zen-like environment.
The controversial discussion was that the patent is up and there is no money to be made. Hence, the FDA doesn't want to be involved. Who knows?

There are definately risks involved but there are risks involved in long term heroine use.
Supposedly it takes away cravings after completion. It's a potent hallucinating plant from Eastern Africa used in ceremonies and medicine.
The clinics are located in Mexico and New Zealand. I have NO interest except the curiosity after seeing the documentary. And if there IS hope why isn't being used in the US under tightly controlled situations.

I'm also curious if anyone has heard of it and if there is any potential pain control use.
Thank you
:-)
