I live in Coffeyville KS. Not many specialist. And poor quality doctors. About 6 months ago I had my thyroid tested because thyroid problems run in my family. Although most of them begin in either the pituitary gland or the hypothalamus, my mom's actually started in her thyroid. Anyway my tsh levels were low and my doctor at the time did no follow up testing. Now I'm researching family history, possible causes, my symptoms over a period of 3 years and it adds up to the possibility of a pituitary tumor. I'm doing what I can over the next few days to try and get follow up testing, but I would appreciate if anyone could recommend a good endocrinologist in the state of Kansas (due to Medicaid as secondary insurance). Medicare is my primary insurance.

For a girl dealing with body hair, possibly hirsutism, would an endocrinologist be the right doctor?
