I am in the 13th week of the 24 week Sovaldi / Ribavarin regimen and I am experiencing confusion and trouble concentrating during study periods. I'm a 4th year student and this usually occurs when I'm reading or taking in new material. It's taking me two to three times longer than the other students in my Applied Behavior Analysis course. I sometimes have to re-read material several times to understand. Never had this problem before; I'm falling further behind and starting to worry about my gpa. thank you for any feedback of conversation about this.
Has anyone experienced trouble concentrating, confusion, or learning and retaining new information?

YES, all of the symptoms your experiencing. I'm 5months since i've finished the study. The symptoms are still there, memory is only back aprox. 25%. these are very powerful drugs and my opinion is they are in your body klling the virus and doing a lot of other damage. I also have bad dry mouth at nite which is causing tooth rot other people are experiencing this also.

thanks for your post, Atef. I just finished protocol Jan 3rd and feeling better as far as the nausea goes, I;m not getting sick any more. But the confusion, brain-overload, mental fatigue, are all still present. If sx keep persisting I'll probably go see doc.
Pls post if you go to see doc too... thanks
I did MRI for my brain and he's showing something funny we don't know until now what's this and i see many doctor right now for my brain so far I don't know where is going to end
Hi Atef,
wow, your MRI results sound strange. Did your doc say whether something "funny" was neurological of whether it was biological? (ya know, is it in your thought process or something that doesn't belong there)? I hope he gives you a clear answer soon. Let me know what happens... I am still having some problems with sleep, confusion, anemia, etc... the list goes on... I had a real hard time with school; was fortunate to have a professor give me concessions; I have to cancel this next term.
