I had it removed last week, and still am in excruciating pain!
You shouldnt be having this much pain after removal unless it was encapsulated or they did nerve damage taking it out or putting a new one in. Did you have a new one put in? I would call the Dr who did it and ask them to take a look at it to be sure there isnt a problem. Sometimes if the old one is encapsulated, (this means a bunch of scar tissue grew up around the device) they have to break up that tissue to remove it and this can be sore for a few weeks. You can try applying some ice for pain and swelling. Use Tylenol or Advil (or whatever OTC you can take that works for you) for the discomfort.
