I used to be on Wellbutrin SR 12 hr 150 mg twice a day for major depression, but it wasn't working. So my doctor switched me to the generic of Lexapro 10 mg, and I was wondering if anyone ever experienced weight gain? I am concerned because I am already over 350 lbs at only 29 year old female and I don't need the weight gain.
Short answer - no. Lexapro makes you feel more balance and relaxed. So what can happen is it can make you feel a little “lazy” if you like. Therefore, anxiety drops (less energy being used), not as active from feeling a but lazy etc... this can cause weight gain. It can also cause you to crave sweets.
