At least that's what I call it. It is probably muscle weakness but legs feel a hundred pounds. I am wondering if it is the neuropathy or something else. If it gets any worse I think it will be time for the wheelchair. Does anyone else have this or just me?
Hi smiley, I know exactly what you are talking about. My personal experience with "heavy legs" goes like this. With my Neuropathy, my moving around has pretty much been limited to trips to the bathroom and back to bed. Because of the lack of exercise my muscles have atrophied only making matters worse. While in the hospital last week the doctors thought I might have Amyotrophy - which is a form of Neuropathy in which the muscles atrophy and grow weak. The other day I tried climbing up the stairs for the helluv it, my legs gave out on the 5th stair and I had to scoot back down on my butt. So to make a long story short - yes I am familiar with the heavy leg thing! It is comforting to know you aren't alone. Feel free to message me if you want to chat.
I have it too. Mostly with my left leg where my neuropathy is worse. I have a shuffle in my step --- not a good thing! hehe I wear out slippers and shoes quickly because I have trouble lifting my legs.
My best to you,
