I found after a while it stopped helping me and I had to switch to another med for a time.
My husband had the same problem. He was switched to Nexium and that works much better for him. Let your Dr know the omeprazole has stopped working well for you.
You need to let your Doctor know, they will either increase it to 40 mg per day or change you to a different kind of medication. But please do not waste no time. Acid Reflux is nothing to mess around with.
Please trust me. Have a good day.
Sometimes you have to try different one's until you fine one that works good for you.
I have had an issue, but instead of taking 20 mg twice a day, my doctor told me to take the pills together at one time a day. So that relieved the heartburn when I started doing that.
