- celexa, prozac, dysthymia, doctor, prescription, medication
Prozac may well relieve your dysthymia, now often called Persistent Depressive Disorder. I have a long history of extended bouts with PDD, whose principal symptom has always been a "drugged," groggy, mentally strained feeling. Prozac at a maintenance dose level freed me from that for about 16 years. About two years ago and for whatever reason, however, the Prozac ceased to help. I've been trying different antidepressants and combos of them since then without clear results. But the Prozac may work long-term for you.
