... came off codeine 7 months ago, but this pain is unbearable
Are you on gabapentin? Cymbalta is good but you also need something like gabapentin or lyrica. That's what helps me. I've had it since I was a child. There are some words you should never use, they make you worse, our minds are powerful things. Words like unbearable are among them. If we think of ourselves as a victim with unbearable pain we will be a victim with unbearable pain. We have fibro it does not have us.
Constant pain can be an overwhelming thing, coloring everything you try to do and think with suffering. You mentioned Cymbalta & Mirtazipine. Are you currently taking those? If so, for how long? If they aren't working, and you have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia by your doctor, you need to have a talk with her/him. Sometimes it takes several tries with different meds to hit the right combination. You may never be pain free, but you should be able to find something that will take the edge off and give you some breathing space.
