I have unresolve back pain. fourteen months ago I injured myself and after 6 moths started taking zoloft for depression. I have read Cymbalta can help chronic pain and depression. I'd like to hear if anyone has taken Cymbalta for pain and how has it worked for you. I am a 55 y F whom was very physically active and fit prior to this injury now I am off work and barely make it to water tharapy once a day
I take 120 mg. daily of Cymbalta for Depression which it does help to keep from hitting ac"low" however it doesn't do anything for my pain, I've heard some people say it works for them & others say it doesn't, I personally takes it depends on the type of pain you're dealing with, I have Multiple Sclerosis and have neuropathic pain, so it might work, but you need to give it at least two weeks for it to get in your system, hope it helps, good luck!
I am a 58yr old woman. I suffer from fibromyalgia, DDD, and I have had 2 neck surgeries and one lower back surgery. I have had chronic lower back pain since my surgery almost 2 years ago along with my other pain issues, which include severe daily headaches, from bulging discs and arthritis in my neck. I have arthritis in every joint in my body. I was on Cymbalta for about a year. It helped me very much!! I was so disappointed that I had to discontinue taking it due to a side effect I was unable to tolerate. I was on a rather high dose, by the time I had to discontinue it (160 mg/day). Currently I am back on Neurontin and praying it will eventually help as much as the Cymbalta. I hope others who try Cymbalta will give it a chance, and I wish you all relief!!
