I'm reading reviews are everyone posts seems to be regarding the start of peoples Contrave journey. 1-2 months give or take. Has anyone been on it 6+ months and if so what are your experiences. I started in August and the 1st 3-4 weeks I experienced a 3-5lbs weight loss each week. By early November I was at about 1lb a week. However recently I'm not feeling as if the meds are as effective as they were in the beginning. I feel breakthrough hunger and notice I am eating more than I was initially. The weight seems to be coming off slower also. Has anyone else experienced this? Has anyone else been on this medication long term ?

I will be on it 6 months in about 2 weeks. I am not losing as much weight as I did in the beginning, but that is quite normal. I feel the medication is effective. I think that many folks have appetite suppressant initially - but that is not really what the drug is for, it is more about controlling cravings. I also need to be more vigilant about tracking the calories I eat. Hope this helps!
