... this disease for two years and I am sure Valtrex caused my condition. I had been taking Valtrex for 5 years. I feel that 'joint pain' list as a side effect is an understatement. I went on to the FDA website, there is only two cases reported to them for having caused CTD. But I believe more people have it and might not be linking it to Valtex
How can you be sure that is what caused it?. Connective tissue disease is either hereditary or autoimmune. The joint pain they are talking about is while you're taking it. Its not the kind that is linked to a disease. There is nothing in the prescribing information on the FDA web site about it.
