... ago, no problems or indications. At a recent eye exam I was told I have a cataract "ripe" for surgery in my right eye and smaller ones in my left eye. I have been taking 5mcg/2xday of liothyronine for about 6 months (for low T3) and that is the only change in my meds or overall general health, which is very good. I had a thyroidectomy in 2004 and have been taking 125mcg levothyroxine since that time (with no problems). But, my vision started deteriorating a few months ago - blurred vision in one eye. I would appreciate any information, personal experiences, news, studies, etc. on the topic. Thx!
It's not listed as a potential side effect so you may want to make an optometry appointment to see what is going on - it could be the medication still and it's just not super common so it hasn't been reported. I advise you go in sooner versus later so no permanent damage is done.
