Has anyone ever heard or taken a combination of Anafranil (clomipramine) and Luvox (fluvoxamine)? If so, what is it like? Is it effective in treating OCD/anxiety?
Please speak to the doc/pharmacist who prescribed the meds before using clomipramine together with fluvoxamine this can increase your blood levels of clomipramine. This combination may cause side effects such as drowsiness, dry mouth, blurred vision, constipation, or urinating less than usual. Talk to the doc before using these medications together. You may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely take both medications. It is important to tell the doc about all other medications you use, including vitamins and herbs. Do not stop using any medications without first talking to your doc.
Please take care, best wishes!
Hello empire5sb. I agree with Rajive in regards to the caution. Having said that, yes, it could work out as a very effective combination. Anafranil has been used for years to help in the treatment of OCD. Then, the SSRI's came onto the market/scene and drugs such as Zoloft became more popular in the treatment off for one thing, OCD. And kind of pushed many of the cylics out of the picture. Best of wishes to you, pledge
