I noticed that L-CARNITINE may be another option for neuropathy or chronic pain. Does it require a rx or is it a nutritional supplement? How well does it work if anyone has take this? Side effects? Costly?
Hey Don Maynard, much respect ;)
I happen to have seen your inquiry and that it has gone unanswered for over two weeks.
Here's what I know...
L-Carnitine remains widely used by bodybuilders as it helps build muscle. I have found nothing, though, in the course of my research to suggest that it is useful for the relief of pain.
That said, medication is very subjective. It may interact with your chemistry in ways it does not with that of others.
L-Carnitine shouldn't set you back more than 20 bucks online.
