My insurance no longer wants to cover the brand for my 6 y/o and I'm concerned about how the two meds compare.
This was another one of the meds that I considered a rip off. Guanfacine was used for years, so the manufacturer of the brand decided to repurpose it call it something else and get a new patent so they could make money. The day it came out I was fussing they need to just use the generic. Drug companies are finding sneaky ways to make money on old drugs, don't fall for it. Try the generic and if there is a problem then you fuss with the insurance company. Its the way drug companies are acting that is making insurance not want to pay for things.
