I have MRSA and dermatologist has me on it twice a day for 3 months. I'm concerned about taking it so long, should I be? I am on month 2 and have some kind of raised rash on my arms. Any advice/info would be greatly appreciated.

I have had MRSA and i had to have 7 surgerys to get rid of it... You might reacting to the meds i was only on the Bactrim for 7 days... the Medication that i took was the Bactrim so try this one it is called... Cephalexin ( Keflex 500 mg ) 1 tab 4xs a day for 7 days it is another anti biotic this might help you and the others were Zyvox 600 mg every 12 hrs.. Zosyn 3.375 mg every 8 hrs, Vancomycin it is to treat Staph infection and that is what MRSA is ... I hope this helps you. I would not take the Bactrim any more and try the other ones ...
