... ADHd? What was your preference and why?? I am on 60mgs of adderal a day, has anyone experienced a tolerance to adderal and switched to ritalin? what were results? thanks ! Rc
hi RC3... I've never tried ritalin, but I was prescribed & starting taking adderall august 2011 as suggested by the psychiatric nurse who evaluated and diagnosed me with ADD... it did not comeig shock, i'll say... how long have you been on 60 mgs/day, and is it the XR formula that you are taking three (3) 20 mg capsules of? If it's been awhile since you've been at 60/day, then yes, it's entirtely possible you've hit a ceiling at that dosage... it's a tricky drug & we that take it as prescribed have to hear a fair amount of negativity, but all that matters is that you (hefully?) have a good doctor who you see regularly, and you can talk openly and honestly with he OR she, you want to tell them u no longer feel the effectiveness of your 60 mg dose... don't tell them to up dosage - they will hopefully just do it based on what u provide them with!
Hello RC3, Welcome. This is a question that differs from person to person. I have taken both, and I would defininately say the Adderall works best for me. I take it twice a day, like yourself. I am on the instant release. not the ER. And I like it better as far as concentration, and staying on focus. Without my medicine... I will start to clean one room, and then go do something in another, and then in another. By the end of the day... not one room is the way I wanted it. lol. I'm as scatter brained as one of the three stooges. Yes, my medicine helps me for sure.I'm not saying to try the Ritalin, because our bodies are different. Whatever you decide, I hope you the very best, and wish you a very Merry Cristmas and Happy New Year.
