I have severe anxiety, generalized anxiety disorder, depression and migraines from the moment i wake up till i sleep that never go away from the anxiety. Im taking 10mg of cipralex right now and it does very little. Has anyone tried adding abilify to their antideppresant? And if so did you find good results from it?
I have everything you mentioned except for the migraines I tried 2 Mgs of abilify for two weeks when I had been taking lexapro it didn't help me maybe the dose was too low or I didn't stick it out long enough but I know for other members they report it works. Is your antidepressant working at all for you?
Yes. I have found some relief but ut took a while to find the right combo. I have many medical problems to go along with depression, anxiety, and PTSD. Never got around to Abilify but have heard many good things about it if you give it time to work. Wishing you the best of luck...
Hi. I take Cymbalta and Lamictal and added Abilify and it made a world of difference. I havent had to take a sleeping pill in a year and have loads of energy especially in the mornings. it did give me anxiety at first but that worked itself out. And i couldn't even think about suicide at all. The only negative thing I had was weight gain. I've done searches and most have gained an average of 20 lbs. i gained more and may go off it but it saved my llife in a lot of ways.
I had Abilify starting last Friday to add to my Celexa. The Celexa just wasn't working. I'm not sure if it's the 5mg Abilify working well, or just my attitude after Tuesday, but I'm not depressed right now. Still have to medicate some for anxiety and still have insomnia. But really baffled if the Abilify is working so quickly because I've been so depressed for a while now.
