I never heard of this, until I got it Ha!ha!?
Hello again Ingenue
From what I have read your diagnosis is Neuralgia (nerve pain) which affects your arm and you have had this for 7 months. You take Lyrica for this and you have noticed an improvement. Do you know which type of neuralgia you have? You also have Chronic Myofascial Pain (CMP). Which I think was diagnosed 5 months ago? If this is the case then early treatment may produce a good outcome for you. I am not sure which of the two conditions you have is causing your aching arm pain. Because CMP doesn't typically cause an aching pain. And neuralgia which is not a common condition doesn't usually cause an aching pain either. Also you state that this pain just happened one day. Usually the onset of neuralgia is usually caused by something such as physical trauma, shingles, infection. In answer to your question however I do not get an aching arm pain caused by CMP. I get the typical CMP pain which is pulling/tightening pain, twitching muscle pain, jabbing/stabbing pain, burning pain and prickling pain.
I get this type of pain often but it's not one of my many areas of constant pain thank the lord. I'm sorry you have to deal with this too. does it feel like a BP cuff is squeezing your arms? It does for me and when it happens I am debilitated. A heat pad is my best friend, maybe it will help you a little.
