I have beeen suffering of trigeminal neuralgia for many years and been taking 7 tablets a day of Tegretol 200 and 4 tablets a day of Neurontin 300mg. I wish to lower this dose with the help of herbal tablets. Is this possible?
I have trigeminal neuropathy, which means the pain is constant, and not intermittent. I know how hard it is to cope with this pathology.
I take Neurontin as Gabapentin, the generic form (800 mg, 3 x a day) and Tramadol (200 mg in time release).
What helps me so much is acupuncture treatments followed by the placing of tiny powerful magnets at the main pain points.
Here in Europe, the acupuncture is free, and depending on your budget you could try it. Or even try getting tiny magnets online and taping them on your main pain points yourself. When I went on vacation, the acu doctor told me I could just tape the magnets on the face like that on pain points. It works great.
Best of luck.
