Have you been given an undiagnosed illness, which was changed to CFS/Fibro??
I believe from you name (gal) you are female correct? I am no a veteran, but have the UTMOST respect for you and all of our military, my dad, all uncles and my own dear son, was Air Force. I myself have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, spinal stenosis, probable ms, bla bla bla, constant pain, terriable time sleeping, stomach issues, constipation & then the other, severe fatigue, muscle spasm, I could go on & on kiddo, but what is the use? Do the doctors care? Do they really know? NO! I call it a GARBAGE CAN diagnosis because they really do not know what is wrong with us, more times than not is is found in women, over 30, from moderate to crippleing from pain, numbness, headach, and don't be fooled by all the drugs they will throw at you, lyrica, Neurontin, antianflamatory, pain meds, intidepressants, again...
bla bla bla, pls honey stay of the mind altering drugs especially... you have been to hell & back being overseas, heal you head the natural way if you can with lots of love, family, friends, church, talk to counselors (not va if possiable) now you will still need help with the pain... ahhh girl I have been there. And if you do your research, you will find that Fibromyalgia normally begins from a dramatic event in your life, holding in terriable stress, abusive marriage, rape, car accident, GULF WAR??? YUP! sounds about right to me... many of us suffering have had a multitude of stresses, sounds like you at least have one that is the size of a whole 2 army's. My thougths and prayers are with you dear, and I promise when I finish this post, I am going to stop and say a special pray for you... you need it and you sure as hell deserve it! As always... God Bless & Good Health... Momma Nancy w/love 4 u today
How is everyone from this thread doing now? Have you had any insights/victories in health care?
I'm new to this site. Joined the military to fight terrorism. But instead I've been fighting abuse, bureaucracy, sickness, unnecessary injuries that lead to some permanent damage, and most of all... B.S.
I'm still in the fight. I've lost much of my health and much of my life as I knew it. But with God's grace, I have not given up though it's been years of suffering. And thank God, I am winning many of the "battles" coming at me.
Let us know how you're doing!
