Added 23 May 2016:
I guess my first post was cut off, for the past seven months I have been sick off and on. Ive been to the Er twice and Dr after Dr. All of them tell me I have severe anxiety. I get dizzy a lot my heart speeds up on me, tired all the time I just don't understand is there ever light at the end of the tunnel. I never knew anxiety could be so rough. I hate going into stores and work. Ive convinced myself ive got some serious illness I just want to be the person I use to be.
Anxiety is rough, I agree. It can manifest in all kinds of ways that make you feel ill. Have they given you any meds to help the anxiety?
You are not alone in this. Many of us on this site have anxiety and know how terrible it can make you feel left untreated. Have you tried going to therapy to maybe find out why you are so anxious? It is best if you can find something to bring down your anxiety. Anxiety can built on anxiety making it seem larger than life.
It sounds to me like you need another doctor. There are pills you can take for anxiety. They work very well. It would seem your serotonin is not working for you. And no doctor should look at you like you're crazy! Anxiety is real. And as the others have told you, it can make your mind blow up every little thing into a big thing. There is help. I'm assuming you are female. If I were you I would find a female doctor in your area. (I'm sorry if it sounds a bit sexist,) but I just think women understand women's emotions better than men do. Do what you need to do, and I hope you feel better shortly.
Just wanted to respond saying you are definitely not alone in your struggles. My advice, don't give up! If you try medications, know that it is trial and error to find what works for you. Just don't give up. It is hard, but there is relief out there. Also consider a therapist if you haven't already. Talking through things with a professional can help you identify possible triggers of what makes your anxiety worst. Sometimes simply awareness of what is going on can bring some relief. I wish you the best!
