Did you just start taking the buspar ? I remember when I first started taking it my anxiety was escalated for almost three weeks then it just subsided. I would speak with your dr.
I also have been very successful with the Klonopin, I adjust my dosage as to what kind of day I am having. I do discuss this with my dr though. Good luck with finding the correct mix that will work for you. I am still trying to find it myself. It does get frustrating but I just try to stay positive, finding the right dr is the first step .
mreed75, Firsst of all, Welcome to the site! This is an awesome site for answer's, support, encouragement, and many others. And I'm quite fond of the members on here too. I am just now back on the site, answering questions, after the whole family kicking that flu around. My goodness, was that fun. I'm not even going to give that one a lol. There's nothing funny about it. And the last thing I expected in the world to get was Strep Throat. That one kept me down for a couple of weeks. I missed the site so bad, but was just too sick to write, much less think clear enough to make sense. I opened up my email day before yesterday, and the first thing I saw was I had a message, from one of the dearest members in this world asking how I was. Many others too. Just Great people. Did the same Dr. Prescribe you two benzo's? I'm not judging you, hon, it just surprises me neither one of them work. Especially Klonopin. I agreed right off the bat with kaismama.
Maybe you need a higher dose. Of course, we don't know what you're on now. Before moving to Georgia five yrs ago, my pain Dr. From where I was from, put me on Xanax and Klonopin together. I was on 2mg of each three times a day. He told me why he did it, other than me having panic attacks left and right, but I don't remember why. I had/have chronic pain problems everywhere it seemed. I think my tongue even hurt. Lol. I accidentally became pregnant, and it really did a number on me, being 37 with widespread pain, having a baby. My husband and my two older boys had to help me after I had my baby. My back was so messed up, and any woman who's had a child, knows what postpartum depression feels like. So, here I am in this condition, and he puts me on that medicine, and my husband gets a job offer here, and we pack up, well I didn't, and move three states away. I had never moved, and knew no one here. But I went to the first pain Dr. And he yanked me off one of those. The Xanax. And I'm glad he did, because, in my opinion, that was ridiculous. Due to other family crisis issues, I stayed on the Klonopin 2mg three times a day, but when I felt like I could, I asked my Dr. To lower it to 1mg. It,s been a lifesaver for me, with everything happening in my life the last few yrs. I don't know what your reason,s are for taking it, and I'm not asking you at all to share, I just shared a little bit of my reasoning for taking it, in hopes that you'll know whatever the circumstance, sometimes we need medical medicine, and you're not alone. I think, and this is just me, but I think it's crazy that they'll prescribe Klonopin, but not Xanax. I know Klonopin is in the bloodstream longer, so you don't have to take it as often as Xanax. I've been turned down by three Dr.s here for Xanax, but have been put on a stronger Benzo than Klonopin. Again, I don't know what all is going on in your life, but I pray you will talk to your Dr., sometimes we have to even change Dr.s if they won't listen to you, and take you serious. I've walked down that road too. But some how... some way, I'll pray you get the help you need. And if you need to reach out for help, by sharing anything you're comfortable with, Noone judges here. We've all been through some really tough times, and there's a lot of people who will understand and support you. Don't be afraid to reach out for whatever your going through. Life can bring you down some rough dirt roads, and sometimes you can't see a smoother road ahead. But I promise, if you hold on to any strength, hope, and faith you have, and sometimes you have to dig deep to find it, things will work out some way some how. Again, glad you came to our neighborhood, and hopefully, you'll keep us updated on how things go for you. Your Friend, Ruthie
