I have been prescribed Brintellix for anxiety and reactive depression after traumatic experience in my life. Have been on Aropax for a number of years and then felt the effect not so good any more. I am not feeling well on the Brintellix, anxiety and panic attacks not subsiding, in fact feeling worse. I have been taking Brintellix for 3 weeks now and surely I should have felt less anxious and irritable by now???
Brintellix (vortioxetine) is an antidepressant in a group of drugs called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs). Vortioxetine affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced. Brintellix is used to treat major depressive disorder in adults. Brintellix may also be used for purposes... This is in the same family of drug as the AROPAX that you were taking in most cases some people even if there in the same class of drug IT's know in the Usa as Paxil don't know where you are but to get a good blood level it can take 6 to 8 weeks on your new medication so your over half way there and when you switch sometime from one to the other it can have like a withdrawal effect as the new medication is getting a blood level in you..If this is too hard you might just talk to the doctor and see if there is something that can help your anxiety faster while this is kicking in hope this helps you some Chuck1957
