Will this really help me with anxiety? I am not depressed at all just am very anxious at times. The side affects are what make me nervius about taking this new drug. Please help !
HiWm! Hopefully the Zoloft will help as it is frequently used for anxiety and panic attacks which CAN be a symptom of depression. However, not every drug affects every person to the same degree and it's sometimes a matter of trial and error to find the right one.
Understandably, you're nervous about taking a new drug but think about how you feel now. That's not healthy at all and is probably harming you more than the drug ever will.
Best wishes, WCV
Wm5746; Yes it should but it takes some time to get into your system also the thing with depression and anxiety or panic is lots of the symptoms are treated with the same medications and there symptoms overlap. At times you can't even tell which you really have until the medication starts to work..Good luck Chuck1957
Yes, Zoloft does help with anxiety. You may experience some side effects in the beginning such as heightened anxiety, nausea and diarrhea, but this generally subsides in the first couple of weeks. It may take upwards of a month or so to feel the full effects of this medication so be patient.
